Our product philosophy
When you taste Teedawn you will be surprised that there is no or very little alcohol in it. We focus on creating classic, genuine, clean, gentle, round, pleasant and soft flavours. That is why we have commited ourselves to the world's oldest and strictest rules for beer brewing - the Bavarian Purity Law from 1516. In our beer products, we therefore use only clean and unmanipulated spring and tap water, premium natural hops and malt varieties, and unique yeast strains.
Brewing without alcohol requires experience and premium ingredients
Brewing 100% natural beer with less or no alcohol is a difficult, time-consuming and costly craftmanship. Alcohol is a magical ingredient that adds flavour, richness and viscosity to beer. Alcohol can even mask defects in the brew. Tasty and natural beers with less or no alcohol demands extreme high quality in raw materials, brew processes, equipment and not least craftmanship and experience. That's why we work together with the European brewer-elite who share our passion and have respect and humility in the task. To remove or reduce the alcohol we use a patented vacuum-distillation process, yeast stop/bottle storage and specially developed yeast that deplete alcohol.
Global goals and beer-waste
No one can do everything, but everybody can do something. In Teedawn, we support Sustainable Development Goal #3 which deals with the prevention and treatment of, among other things, the prevention of the use of the single market. harmful alcohol consumption. Our efforts consist of investing the majority of our profits in developing new products and inspiring and informing about the obvious benefits of drinking beer with moderate alcohol percentages. Furthermore, we support Sustainable Development Goal #12 which deals with responsible consumption and production, including food waste. Beer really can't get bad and through our collaboration with Too Good To Go, we've supplemented the mandatory date label "best before" with the volunteer "often good after". Furthermore, we have developed a proactive method to detect date-critical items in our customers, so we can save beer that is otherwise discarded.
Good to know about Teedawn
Teedawn was established in 2013 as the world's first brewery to focus 100% on beer with less or no alcohol. The company is privately owned and founded by Henrik Wiese, who has a background as a management and communications consultant.
Teedawn is preoccupied with inspiring people to reduce their consumption of alcohol without losing the pleasure and coziness of the good, hand-brewed beer. Teedawn wants to entrust a better alcohol culture to the next generation.
The strongest beer Teedawn has brewed to date is 2.7%. Teedawn is committed to never ever brewing stronger beers than 2.7%. On the contrary, we will constantly strive to create better beers with as little alcohol as possible, without cheating on weight, of course.
Teedawn is the only brewery to be the only brewery to consume calories, fats, carbohydrates, proteins and salt on all products.
Teedawn's products contain between 0 and 0.6 units.
